Summary
We’re getting a few calls into the station regarding our announcement of the Sun’s early retirement. Frankly Night Vale, I think you’re overreacting a little bit. Humanity has been around for millennia already, I’d say we’ve had a pretty good run. And this way we all get to know exactly when we’re going to die! Who hasn’t wished for that before, huh?
Now another important update from Dr. Grace: he has found a rock.

Summary
El makes some waffles and some friends, and considers the dangers and joys of going home.
~
"I’m sure your brother is holding down the fort for you.”“Holding down the fort?” El repeats carefully.
“You know, keeping the place warm for you, leaving the porch light on for when you come home.”
“That sounds nice. I cannot go home, though. It’s not safe.”
She shouldn’t have said that. It’s hard, the rules now are so different from what they were with her friends and with Hopper. She is supposed to lie all the time now. But it’s been so long since she was a real person, she'd like to pretend that Jane could be real.

Summary
The Eridians don't have love words. Love is assumed -- structural, built into everything. But they do have a word for the specific feeling of being relieved someone exists. Not for what they give you. For what they are.
Rocky has been trying to translate it for three years.

Bookmarker's Notes
He’s drifting around a few specific lives.
His favorite is Burton Guster’s. Burton Guster is the coolest, awesomest, most incredible person in all of Everything, and he can say that for a fact. He hadn’t had favorites while he was Everything, but he’s a little smaller now, and Burton Guster is his Favorite.
