Astarion has everything he has ever wanted: power, wealth, fame, and the love of a dark consort who (as far as he can tell) is absolutely and completely besotted with him, at least most of the time. But, when his beloved revealed her greatest secret yet, he could hardly believe it.
His dark consort was pregnant, and Astarion could hardly wait for the tiny vampire to arrive, imagining himself giving a small vampire bat flight lessons, feeding it its first gnomes' and gnolls' blood, and generally enjoying the power that an heir could bring him. His kingdom was growing, and now his precious treasure had given him the greatest gift of all.
