Summary
Rumi is from a very well to do family with decorated naval careers in the case of her father and godmother. Growing up with a healthy respect for the sea and sailing in general it's really no wonder she ended up so determined to be a shipwright. Even if her overprotective family never let her work on a ship that wasn't dry docked in the harbor she remained stubborn and steadfast that this would be her profession of choice. So when she finally got the chance to work on a ship at sea she was ecstatic... and even when that chance was just a cake job where she was barely needed she remained optimistic.
Until a cursed ship of murderous pirates truly put that determination and optimism to the test, along with all of Rumi's shipwright skills.
Will Rumi be able to survive unlocking the mysteries of the Demon's Soul? Including two prisoners like her, one of which is far more than meets the eye?

Summary
The R.U.M.I system is AI in the way AM is a supercomputer- advanced for the time, sure, but limited in all the ways that matter. It's inaccurate to label her as life, or to say she was ever a child. That's what her manual, her creator, and Celine all seem able to agree upon.
But, they all equally say not to give her pronouns, too- and Celine had retracted that directive a week after plugging her into the home system. The if-then transitive property says, therefore, that these directives are all refundable as needed. It's not like she can void her own warranty more.
Rudimentary Unprecedented Multi-purpose Image. Gwi-ma Industries personal self-help AI, cancelled in the late 90s. Her functioning power is twenty years ahead of the 2000s and her instructional booklet contains exactly 832 pages. Most of those are warnings on what not to do with her.
At full power, Rumi is supposedly able to make holographic images. Rumi is not allowed full power. Rumi isn't even allowed to link to Wi-Fi.
It's for that reason Rumi labels the first decade of her life as "childhood". In beta.
