Summary
“Ed,” says Stede in the same smiling, reverent tone he used when Ed came up over the rail himself before the British got them. Now as then, it makes his stomach do a flip and his heart pulse warmly.
He stills them both with a swig of rum.
Stede returns, but that's only the beginning. Ed can't seem to stop pushing him away and pulling him back, and Stede wants to respect his choices - neither of them can go on like this.

Ed shifted as he came back to himself. He screwed his eyes shut tighter as he took a deep breath and felt the deep ache through his whole body. He steeled himself and forced his eyes open. He was greeted by a featureless darkening sky, flashing light scanning overhead, and then-
“...Huh?” The noise left his lips involuntarily.
“Hello?” A mop of blond curls and wide hazel eyes filled his vision as the stranger’s soft voice whispered.
So that’s what angels look like, Ed thought as his eyes slid shut.When Edward Teach woke up on a remote beach, the last thing he expected was to find a strange blond man who lives alone in a lighthouse shrouded in permanent fog. Stede shows Ed the life of a solitary lighthouse keeper, while Ed tries to unravel the mystery that is Stede Bonnet.

Six’s voice followed, low and startling: “You should keep better track of the items loaned out to you.”
Grace jumped, startled by the sudden presence. Six held out the book, and Grace took it with hesitant fingers. "I'm normally more responsible," Grace defended, clutching the spine. "I was just…" He left the excuse hanging in the air.
Six picked up the end, “flustered?” And that smirk came back, less hidden now that there wasn't an audience.
Grace’s face seemed doomed to be some shade of red whenever Six was involved, though he couldn't quite say why. They hadn't interacted much over the last week, yet every encounter seemed to come at the expense of Grace’s composure.

Summary
If he drives fast enough, steady enough, he thinks that maybe he could outrun the tilt of the Earth, that he could suspend them somewhere between seconds, somewhere all for them.
It's a childish want, a desperate one, but one he can't shake. Admittedly, he doesn't try very hard to. Casey wants it so much his teeth ache.
OR: Things have shifted between Ryland and Casey, but as the days press on, the real world begins for loom around them once more. The undefined nature of their relationship comes back to bite them both, and in the dying days of summer, they're forced to make a choice.

Summary
Grace returns to Earth alongside Rocky, Adrian, and a whole team of Eridians excited for first contact. The goal is to integrate Eridians onto Earth where both species can get to know each other and find peace between their planets. Grace will help with the allegiance, as well as the science teams, and maybe make some public appearances with Rocky as the Saviors of the Stars.
It's all a bit much for Grace, though. He has so much on his mind, with a brother who has aged so far beyond him, another brother he thought was dead, a family that has blown him by, and a planet he doesn't completely recognize anymore.
He needs an escape. Maybe this quiet, young driver he finds when sneaking out of his worksite is the key to his happy ending. And maybe Grace is the key to Casey's very salvation.
