Dear Will,
I'm writing to you one last time. I understand if you don't read this; we haven't talked in, what, a decade now? Even back when we were talking—talking being a generous word for bland words being traded back and forth—we didn't say much. And back when we actually talked, well, then I hurt you. I hurt you horribly, Will, that day in the rain. And I'm so, so incredibly sorry. I tried to say that to you so many times that summer, but you always changed the topic and eventually I just…gave up. I know that's awful and that I was awful to you, but that's just the truth. Life is full of cold, hard, unfeeling truths and it would be redundant to say that's also the truth, but I'm saying it anyways because I'm procrastinating saying, well, what I'm about to say.
