    Elle (ofc) is pulled from her reality and dropped into a world with superheroes and magic. Hydra has brought her to this reality to unlock her latent powers and break her to turn her into their monster.

    Bucky and Elle will go on separate and then combined journeys that test their powers, their mental stability, their abilities to protect those they love, and ultimately their bond with each other.

    A Marvel Cinematic Universe FanFiction

    While the Winter Soldier was a ghost story, Nadine Ryker is a ghost. She's The Ghost. Her past is a mystery, her identity even more so.

    Few knew her as Nadya Ivanovna Rykova, the lost recruit of the Red Room, never spoken of after her disappearance. But she got along just fine, hiding away with her secret life, re-emerging only to take contracts that few others are willing to take.

    To hunt other Assassins.

    But when she's contracted to take out Black Widow? Her long ago 'little sister'?

    Her life and her secrets all begin to unravel.

    This story is effectively split into two parts, with Part I focusing on themes of the price of secrets, family, self-acceptance and finding somewhere to belong, with the Steve/OC romantic sub-plot beginning in earnest in Part II.

    Part I starts just before Avengers: Age of Ultron and Part II starts shortly after AoU ends and goes through to just beyond Captain America: Civil War.

    Warning!! It is a *VERY SLOW BURN*

    Companion Story to "Haven" (formerly called 'Please Stay') and, though highly recommended, it's not necessary to have read it to enjoy this one!

    Basically this is my version of how Natasha Romanoff's and Bucky Barnes' stories should have been adapted in the MCU from their Marvel Comics. It's a bit of a mix, but i'm trying to make the events in marvel comics fit in with the MCU, so it's pretty MCU central, just an alternate universe i guess.

    Timeline: this is between the 1950s and Avengers Endgame. It's sort of complicated, but Natalia was born in 1928 (like in the comics) and due to being cryogenically frozen and a version of the super soldier serum, she looks and thinks like she is 16 right at the start even though she is supposed to be 27. Obviously her birthday is December 3rd so she turns 17 then and for most of the first part of the story she is 17/18 appearance and mind-wise. Bucky was born in 1917 (like in the MCU) and he is technically 37 at the start but looks way younger, around mid twenties, once again due to him having the super soldier serum and being crygenically frozen. I'll put what i have in my notes app in the notes section of chapter 1. Also, tbh im not too bothered abt Yelena's timeline but if there are inconsistencies, js tell me so i can try to fix them, and i couldnt find an actual birthday for her anyways.
