Summary
Roy leans a little forward. “Bud? Are you alright?”
And the embarrassment creeps back in.
“Just - was wondering if you were leaving soon.” Tim clears his throat and it scrapes him up, choking on gravel. “I could use a lift.”
“You don’t have a ride?” Roy asks gently.
Oh, please don’t ask me that question. He did at one point, but he left him in the hallway where the music doesn’t reach, probably waiting for Tim to come back with muttered apologies insincere on his lips - or to slap him in the face, or something. He’s really trying not to do either here.

Summary
“Why are you taking so long?” Vance asks, hoping to delay the inevitable or maybe find out he’s misreading the situation.
But he’s not. His brother has circled this part of the store four times and stopped at this rack every time.
A rack full of skirts.
---
Vance tries to navigate Griffin wearing a skirt. He doesn't feel equipped to handle it, but he's going to try. -

Summary
Tim feels stupid. How can you mourn something that you both never had, but never lost? How does it feel so real, so near, yet so far all at once?
He just wants to feel safe again. The way only a child can.
But he’s running out of time. The clock says so.

Summary
“Tim Drake knew of a lot of things for a fact in his, admittedly short, life.
He knew for a fact there were fifty-four tiles on the manor's kitchen floor. He knew for a fact his laptop battery could only last five hours unplugged after charging it fully, despite being advertised as lasting ten hours with average use. He knew for a fact Dick actually drank his coffee black most days despite having the biggest sweet tooth. He knew the sky was blue and water boiled at 100 degrees Celsius and the formula for finding the surface area of a solid of revolution was best notated as S = int[a,b] 2π√{1+[f'(x)]^2}dx.
Tim Drake knew a lot of things as absolute, unequivocal, certain facts.
Most importantly of them: Tim Drake knew for a fact that he was temporary.”
(Tim leaves a goodbye note. People don't react how he expected.)

Summary
“So, where’s the evidence?” Tim asked.
“One moment,” Bruce said, still staring down at Lila like she was God’s greatest gift to earth. And she was the greatest gift to earth. But Tim’s greatest gift—not God’s—because Tim technically was the one who had swirled her up in a test tube.
Tim accidentally creates a baby out of his and Kon’s DNA in grief. He keeps this a secret until he can’t, and then pivots onto the story that he’s “babysitting.” With a family full of detectives, it’s a story unlikely to last.
(AKA the fic in which a baby prompts Tim to reconcile his relationships with his loved ones)
