    Summary

"Mirrors don't break by accident, but by the weight of the lives we try to hold in a single reflection, and in each crack we discover that we are not a single truth, but the silent battle between who we were, who we pretended to be, and who we still have to accept being."
Katniss and Peeta lead an enviable life — one filled with luxury, lavish meals, glittering social events, and endless parties. Their only real concern is preserving their flawless image in the eyes of Capitol society.
When the 78th Hunger Games arrive — along with a series of events unlike anything they have ever faced — their convictions are put to the test. For the first time, they begin to question what is truly right.
In seeking the answers, they find themselves drawn into a clandestine group that has been operating in the shadows for years.
Will they leave behind their comfortable life to help those fighting for change?
And what will they do when they discover that nothing is as it seems?

    Summary

Reap, verb. One: to perform the action of cutting grain (or any similar crop) with the hook or sickle, especially in harvest; hence, to gather or obtain as a crop (usually, of grain) by this or some other process. To cut (plants, flowers, etc.) after the fashion of reaping. Two: to get in return; to obtain (especially some profit or advantage) for oneself; to gain, acquire. Three: to cut down or harvest the crop or produce of (a field, etc.).

It’s hard to imagine the world where this word used to have a positive connotation. A crop obtained, profit, and advantage all suggest it once did, but all I can ever think about is the cutting down, the hooks, and the sickles. The Capitol toasts the positives today. We brace for the blade.

It’s a clever word for them to have chosen. It’s a shame I can’t appreciate it.
