“It was more than okay,” Spencer murmured, his voice a soft, steady hum in the quiet room. A faint, knowing smile touched the corners of his mouth. “Honestly… if we didn’t have the badge, and the paperwork, and people looking at us every single day, I’d probably want you to leave marks that lasted a whole lot longer than five hours.”
A dark, pleased heat flared in Aaron’s eyes at the confession. The slight tension vanished from his shoulders, replaced by a slow, dangerous sort of satisfaction as his fingers lingered against Spencer’s pulse point.
“Is that right?” Aaron murmured, his voice dropping an octave as he drew Spencer just a fraction closer, already mentally filing that away for the next time they had a few days behind closed doors. “I might just have to take you up on it.”
