Summary
For Kageyama Tobio, volleyball was everything; what he had known since the beginning, the reason he has healthy habits. It's a habit on its own. Karasuno, on the other hand, taught him what he should embody; teamwork, rivalry, friendship, what being a setter really means.
Moving at a steady pace, Tobio thought that was all there is to it. But touches linger, and scenarios witnessed by a third party can't be helped. He had grown with predicaments, an easy list of them, and this one is different.
It's different but it introduced him to warmth. And it's different, but he will see himself hold onto it like a lifelineㅡfor a familiar hand around his wrist, buttons left ungiven, and unoccupied months lingering by.
And maybe, just maybe, the way it's different won't change him, but will give him time for himself, not to be left unsatisfied, or standing on the sidelines, no; it's time to see what he could do, with volleyball, not outside of it. That one set that will get his side of the court a point for the longest match he'll ever play his whole life.
It could all be simply his.

"Let me touch you."
"You're already..." Tobio's breath hitches. He closes his eyes, then stares down at Kei with desperation. "...Do what you want."
Kei's gaze darkens. "You're giving this servant way too much reign, Your Majesty."
Tobio can't help but slightly groan in frustration. Could Kei just get on with it already...?!
Seeing something in the way he looks, Kei's amber mixes with shameless and tender awe, so reminiscent of everyday, and so relevant to the now. They want this. They both want each other. So if Kei can do something about it sooner than later...! Tobio grits his teeth.
"You look like you want to demand something." Kei chuckles once more and presses forward, a safe hold on Tobio's twitching hips as his other hand trails the button of Tobio's pants. "You can tell me. I'm all ears, King." It stops there, and does nothing.
Ugh! "You fucking-" Tobio's free foot kicks Kei from behind amidst his outrage.
From since love is different (Chapter 5) but could be read as a standalone.

Summary
Sighing, Tobio reaches out, caresses the edge of the growing bags under Kei's eyes, before slowly pulling away. "That looks awful."
They pass through the gate of the campus, other students around them with their own footsteps towards lunch. They should really hurry up, him and Tobio. Kei feels like it's only been a minute longer with just them, however.
Kei couldn't help but make a mocking coo. "Is that your way of saying that I look ugly?"
"No." Tobio rolls his eyes. "Besides, you always look good, whatever you put on your face."
There's that bluntness of his words with no shame again. Long ago had Kei already passed the shame, but the creep of redness on his nape is still felt under his brown turtleneck. "Charming. I'm truly blessed to be under the King's grace."
Tobio makes an impromptu visit in Kei's campus in the midst of a busy preliminary week.

"Urk..!" With a disgusted twist on his face, Till pulls them away, but his right is quickly snatched by Ivan, and he puts it close to his jaw, shamelessly nuzzling it like a cat. "You're so fucking weird..."
Ivan hums, eyes closed. "You love me." He then opens them, bores his stare on Till's whole figure, and kisses his quickening pulse while keeping its twinkling state steady.
Till clicks his tongue, looking away with a glare. "I question why every day."
Ivan pouts. "No, you don't. It's our anniversary, you can't push me away."
Till flinches at the reminder, even if he had already known the moment he touched the flower that is still on his ear, and he ignores the feeling of his face erupting into flames once again. "Who the hell decided that."
"Me." Ivan dramatically bats his eyelashes, making doe eyes that disgusts Till even further he has the urge to kiss the other until he never speaks ever again.

Summary
This is a two (2) parter series that is canon compliant. Part one (1) is in Tobio's POV. Part two (2) is in Kei's POV. Massive amounts of introspection and direct quotes from Haikyu!! itself should be heavily considered before reading :)
Each part has titles that are based off of the caption of Namjoon's Instagram post from December 2023, "since love is everything."
