"Well, we came to an agreement," the word rolls off Leon's tongue with a slight smirk and hitch in his brow, "and here we are."

"What do you mean?" Chris's hands shake in Wesker's hold against his chest, and though he can barely move where he's sandwiched, he tries to look at both of them. "What agreement? Captain?"

"That we'll get our fair share of you." Wesker says behind him, grip tightening where he's holding Chris's hands together. "Kennedy was… persuasive."

    Summary

“You’ve been watching me,” said Chris. His voice was steady despite his inebriation.

    “Yes,” said Zeno mildly.

    Chris frowned at him. “Why?”

“Most people are compelled to stare at train wrecks.”

The similarities between his voice and Wesker's seemed to register, because Chris paused and squinted. But it was still too dim here for him to get a good look at Zeno's features.

“Enjoying oneself at the bar is a train wreck now, is it?”

Zeno approaches Chris in a bar. Surprisingly, Chris agrees to accompany him to his hotel room.

    Summary

Chris Redfield thought he'd finally buried Albert Wesker.

    Instead, he finds him alive.

Imprisoned inside a BSAA-funded research facility and forced to continue the research that made him too valuable to lose, someone needs to be willing to stay in a room with a man who insists on ensuring the failure of each person unlucky enough to step through those doors. After exhausting every other option, the facility settles on the only person they believe might survive him: Chris Redfield.

What begins as an attempt to understand the man who betrayed him and to make peace with years of unresolved grief slowly becomes something neither of them was prepared to confront.

Chris thought he would just be looking for the point where his Captain ended and Albert Wesker began.

Wesker thought he already understood Chris.

    They were both wrong.

    Summary

Barry stepped into the room and closed the office door at his back, the silent warning that a private discussion was being requested now. “What can I do for you, Barry?”

Brown eyes turned their gaze towards the white hard shell case of the medical kit laid out on the desk. The furrow of Barry’s brows deepened. “Sir, I'd like to speak to you on Chris’ behalf.”

“Go on.” Albert permitted, curious to see where this was going. Barry took a small breath in preparation, the words already poised on the man's tongue as he began.

“I understand that Chris can be a handful at times, and that his behavior can toe the line of going too far, but I implore you to be lenient on him in this particular case-” Albert held up his hand to pause Barry’s presumed speech, causing the larger man to fall suddenly silent.

“I’m not upset with Chris.” The Captain stated bluntly.

Barry could only gape in surprise for a few seconds before blurting, incredulously. “You're not?”

“I presume this has happened before?” Albert asked for clarification to which Barry nodded in answer.

The man nervously wet his dry lips before elaborating further. “A couple times. Once in the Air Force, and another time with me.”

    Summary

“The contract is binding”, the creature warns. “Once it is done, it cannot be undone.”

The chance to flee is a thing Zemo hadn’t expected to be offered from such a being - but that, too, he disregards just as easily as the warnings of the red book.

A dead man had no need for a soul.

To avenge the death of his family Zemo makes a deal with a demon that demands his life as payment - a fair price that he is more than willing to offer in exchange for the creature's power.

However, the unexpected bond that forms in tandem with the bodies left in their wake only fuels the madness of such a trade.
