  Summary

He shook his head; a three toned bell cascaded through the room. It was time to go. “You and your sister get home safe, alright?”

Ren nodded, already halfway out the door. Yoshioka-san didn’t stop there, and threw in a few more words. “And, Isshiki-kun, please consider joining some clubs? I know it’s a little late in the year, but some still have openings.”

“You know you can’t be wasting these school years, right? I understand why you haven’t, but please consider your transcript. You were in quite a bit at your old school, weren’t you?”

Ren shrugged. “…I’ll think about it.”

some time after isshiki wakaba's death, life goes on. or something like that? ren's not entirely sure.

Misha giggled. “That’s all I wanted to know ‘bout alkehestry. But I do have another question.”

“Give to me,” said Uncle Al.

“Did you manage to get this months copy of Central Science?” asked Misha. “There was an article in there. They’re trying to prove a third particle.”

“I didn’t, blockages on the railroad,” said Uncle Al. “But I do know of it. Found out a few years back.”

  Summary

Maybe, he suspected, it was the hit on the head. Scratch that, it definitely was. The healer in Petrichor has tried her best, but neither she nor he had nearly enough time. Bennett had to leave Fontaine as fast as Freminet could have him out.

Small drabble about Bennett, tinnitus, and missing people.

  Summary

Cyrus and Sister Rosaria continue to talk in circles.

Amber was working her canines down to nubs with the way she ground them against another. No one had put the fires back. The lounge windows let some light in, but still wasn’t as bright as the outside. Not quite bright enough to see each other in. Amber had thought adulthood would’ve made life simpler, but things only ever became more complicated, and became less flexible.

Sparks accompanied her fingers snapping as an idea shot into her head.

  “I know!”

in which questions like "are you guys really banning a 10 yo orphan from a nationwide holiday" and "what other solutions are there" are asked and amber has to somehow make everyone happy.

  Summary

When she got the chance, she went back to her little spot in the forest—where she and Poppa would go on rainy days, and found her supplies gone. Momma had taken them, along with the journals, the chalk, and had erased the circle. Henrietta had spent hours on that circle, trying to get it perfect. Unsure if it would even work. Poppa never wrote it down, and Henrietta wasn’t the prodigy people expected her to be.

Henri stayed there for hours, looking for anything that might be left, but her mother did an out-and-out job. The only thing left were the same pebbles and stones that’d always be there, and maybe a few more scuff marks. By the time she was done surveying the area, the trees had grown taller and darker, the trickling stream nearby roughened, and the coyotes were about to start their nightly prowl. Henrietta went home after that; what use would she be as coyote food?

or: the beginning of a next-gen story. Where, after Edward kicks the bucket, and some other events, his oldest child decides to run away.
