Summary
A moment eventually occurs in every person's life when they realize the “later” in “I’ll get to it later” does not exist. No one can pick up your hand to make you grab that phone and force you to Google “quick and easy ways to fix me”. Even worse: no outside force can make you really, truly want to get better. But when every negative experience in your life has the same concurrence involved (i.e. you), eventually you have to arrive to the correct assumption that something needs to change for the benefit of all living things.
Or: Jason buys a Dialectics Behavior Therapy manual at a second-hand bookstore, followed by the necessary subsequent events it takes to make him actually read it.

Summary
It started out as a club of ten, composed of five old ladies, two middle-aged women, one mid-20s married couple, and one Jason Peter Todd. The married couple had a fight during the first meeting, didn't talk during the second, and then never came again. One of the old ladies broke her hip and didn't return, either. That left the old lady quartet, the possible lesbian couple, and Jason to meet every Friday night, discussing the book of the month.
He loved it.
Jason joins a book club. This leads to more drama than expected.
