Summary
It’s not a surprise when Ken sees the news -- the 20th ward was going on lockdown. The doves had found a ghoul den. Life was merciless, after all. It’s not a surprise as he finds himself standing on that rooftop -- contemplating his next move, either.
Stay -- or -- go?
(In which, Ken chooses to stay -- and that makes all of the difference.)

Summary
I want her, Ken thinks, almost delirious. His palm was tingling from where he was touching her. Her skin and fragrance cause a reaction that is instantaneous. It wouldn’t -- couldn’t be ignored. He could always wake her up, right? From the way that she looked at him, he could tell that the month of celibacy had been difficult on her as well. His hands tremble as he reaches towards her shoulder, intent on shaking her awake.
No.
He stops.
Did you forget?
That you’re a freak now?

Summary
Touka doesn’t answer Ken right away, instead choosing to stare out into the park. Her lips pursed together. “My teacher told me about something,” she says, “She said that if you fold one thousand of these cranes, you can make a wish – for anything. Even if it’s a really big wish!”
(Altenate Universe, Human AU, Oneshot!Kaneki/Touka). -

Summary
She’s about halfway through cleaning when she hears the door swing open. She huffs as she sets down her broom, realizing that she must’ve forgotten to lock it.
“I’m sorry,” she says, turning around. “But we’re closed --”
The ghoul from earlier is standing there, leaning against the entryway. “Hi there, bunny,” he grins. “Remember me?”

Summary
Ken hangs back, watching them interact and feeling the pressure ease off his chest. This was real. Not an illusion conjured up by his mind to not think of the despair he was in. Right this very moment, Touka was readying their boys for bed, stroking their hair and humming a song that instantly soothed all three of the Kaneki boys whenever they heard it.
With that, he exhales in relief.
It was real.

Summary
"Um, I mean, um - have you thought about those things for yourself?" Ayato stares at Hinami expression blank. She feels utterly foolish and she nearly drops it right there until he asks, "What do you mean?"
"L-Like, r-romantic things, going out on dates, holding hands," she watches him demurely, "Kissing?" -

Summary
Some time away under the guise of a supply run --
Ken flushes, “W-What?”
“Oi, Touka,” Nishiki smirks, “What kind of magic did you put on him?”
“It’s a love potion,” Touka says, with a somewhat dramatic sigh. “It was supposed to make me utterly irresistible to him -- but I think it worked a little too well.”
Nishiki leans an elbow against her shoulder, sighing in mock sadness.
“Sounds rough.”
Maybe this could stand in for their temporary honeymoon.

Summary
Ken is about 98% sure that Touka is trying to kill him. His hypothesis is pretty sound -- after all, what else could you call trying to give him a footjob in the middle of a very important meeting? Or making lewd gestures with her hands at him during an important speech meant to bolster the morale of the ghouls in the underground? All of her words to him were dripping with innuendo as well -- like she was intentionally trying to get a rise out of him. Actually, he's certain that was exactly what she was doing.

Summary
It’s not hard to miss -- the way that he tries to sit close to the woman, stealing glances at her before burying his face in his books, cheeks rosy and flushed. It’s not long before Rize is stealing looks back, smiling. Touka spots that tell-tale feral gleam of interest. Ah, she thinks. He’s a goner. Too bad.

Summary
He was sure he was exhibiting the signs of his insanity once again but it all went to a halt when he had moments of down time. They were all really attributed to Touka, who made the walk back from her side of the jail they made into a base and teased him about how he was starting to look old.
And it’s not just the white hair.
“You can go shopping with those bags under your eyes,” She quips, walking over to his worn bed and taking a seat next to him. “When’s the last time you got any sleep?”

Summary
"It's a nice song," he says tilting his head to the side.
"Huh?" Touka blinks, caught unaware and unprepared. Until she hears the soft, lilting melody drifting throughout the shop. She hadn’t even realized the radio was playing and couldn’t say what song was playing either. But he was right - it was a soothing melody, fitting the slow night that was settling over the cafe.“Um, I guess,” she agrees, allowing her lips to quirk up just slightly.
"Would you like to dance?"
