Summary
Being truly seen is a privilege reserved for the deepest connections—the kind the heart insists on longing for with an almost instinctive fervor. Selina Kyle, however, gave up on that idea long ago. In the reality she inhabits, there is no room for genuine bonds, much less for believing that things could change, not even if she had seven more lives.
Becoming a high-end escort was never part of her plans, but now she tries to accept the hand she’s been dealt while convincing her own heart to abandon any lingering hope of belonging. Still, when Bruce Wayne crosses her path with an unusual proposition, Selina discovers that the idea of finally being seen might not be as impossible as she always believed—and that seeing someone in return might be far easier than she ever imagined.

Summary
You had learned early on that the phrase "happily ever after" belonged strictly in fairy tales. Pretty stories about improbable triumphs and valiant love were just that: stories—illusions fools permitted themselves to believe in when existence grew far too burdensome for their fragile hearts. And in an era where rot and inequality carved out society, reality could prove far too difficult to bear without a small drop of that naive hope.
People believed whatever they wanted to believe, you realized, eager to swallow any sweet lie placed before them so long as it distracted them from their bitter truth. If there were enough fools willing to fall for every enchanting word, then could anyone really blame you for becoming enchanting yourself?
Yet even the finest con artist in the West learns, sooner or later, that certain lies exact far too steep a price. And when an outlaw named Arthur Morgan offers you the chance to play the grandest role of your life, you realize that deceiving a powerful family might just be far simpler than stopping the line between the farce and the truth from fading away completely.

Summary
Peter Parker knows grief. He knows the feeling of the world spinning on while his floor vanished, and the exact weight of carrying that pain alone. Rebuilding his life from scratch—armed with a moldy apartment, a dead-end job, and a cheap prepaid burner—all he wants is to fade into the background.
Until a voicemail hits his inbox.
Maryam Darwish hates grief. More specifically, she hates the emotional bureaucracy of trying to stay functional while broken inside. Six months after her mother’s death, her life is a tightrope walk between college, two jobs, and a stubborn refusal to crumble. Her only escape is a secret habit: calling her mother’s old number in the dead of night, leaving long rants on a voicemail like a bottle thrown into the sea.
Unknowingly, Peter begins listening to the fragments of a stranger’s life—her longing, bad days, minor victories, and everything she couldn't keep to herself. What starts as a secretly shared sanctuary soon spirals into an unexpected connection in real life, proving that sometimes, the only way to piece a shattered life back together is finding someone who knows the exact shape of your fractures.

Summary
Delilah Morgan is a forensic pathologist working for the DPGC, beginning the autopsy of the latest victim of the serial killer known as the Reaper, the man who has been terrorizing Gotham city, when she is attacked by him.
It was that night that she encountered true fear ── death itself and its faithful companion ── and survived to tell the tale. Now, she recognized the rot of humanity, as broken as she was, and in a way, identified with it. There was a rooted evil there, rooted in her, something that cried out for justice and needed freedom as much as their corrupted souls could bear, yet something blocked her mind.
In the quest to uncover the true identity of the Reaper and put an end to the series of extended murders, Morgan finds an unlikely ally in billionaire Bruce Wayne. Both are obsessed with the case, both are willing to do anything to reach the end of the investigation, and both would risk everything they had for it.
And that's what brought them together.

Summary
"I do miss you. You know that?" he asked, voice softening. "Hal's not nearly as good of a partner." John downed the rest of his Coke. He didn't break from your gaze, like the call would drop as soon as either of you looked away.
"Aw, don't let him hear you say that. The man's clearly gone out of his way to train you up. He might be just as great?"
"Not even close."
"Time will tell, soon-to-be Lantern Stewart. Is that what I'd call you? Or just, Green Lantern?"
"Green Lantern. GL John Stewart. Or, just a thought: stick to John."
--Your best friend, John Stewart, is Earth's newest recruit for the Green Lantern Corps. The further apart work takes you, the more you worry about him. He can't tell you everything, and you've got your own secrets that you're starting to wonder if they're worth keeping. The question of a simple murder mystery spiraling into an unknown planetary threat forces you both to reconsider one of the strongest relationships you've ever had.
