Your thumbs glide across his jaw, palms across his neck, and you bury your fingers in his hair to pull it. You push him forward into your lips, kiss his forehead and start to say, “Colt—”
“Colt?” He bucks into you, eyes popping open. His breath comes up short and he has to swallow another one. He shifts his hands to clutch your hips and tips his chin down to lock eyes with you over the rims of his glasses. “Do I need to remind you who I am?”
You shake your head, but his long fingers bracket your chin and force you to nod instead. He flips you over like you weigh nothing and pins you on your back, slotting his cock into the crease of your thigh, slotting a hand into yours and lacing your fingers with his. He presses your linked hands to the pillows and leans down into your space, his chest flush with yours and his lips at your ear. You turn your head the other direction but he catches your earlobe with his teeth and squeezes your hand. The pillows smell like Ryland, like him.
“What’s my name?” he demands.

This was just plain cruel at this point. The pull of the soulmate bond hadn't been enough for the last two to overlook outward appearances. You couldn't imagine this time would be any damn different.
