So I just want you to take this one day off with me to hit refresh and then I will give you your pen back and trust you to make the right decision. Okay?"
There was silence for a while. Neither moved. Although Si-Eun's eyes kept moving to read Su-Ho's unmoving face but refusing to meet his lips again, Su-Ho's eyes remained locked onto Si-Eun's, as he tried not to think about how beautiful they were.
"You know I have other pens, right?"
"It's fucking symbolic, asshole."Or, Su-Ho convinces Si-Eun to take a break as they deny feelings for each other

Summary
Sae-Byeok and Ji-Yeong survived the game together. All that money for the two of them. Naturally, they used it well. Ji-Yeong found her purpose in Sae-Byeok, helping her raise her brother and find her mother. The money shared between them meaning they can do as they please by this point essentially, work being a choice not a necessity. They'd never have to go hungry nor would Sae-Byeok's family.
But the memories don't take bribes. They linger and scream and stab into your brain, forcing you remember what you've done. Hands shake. You try to wash the blood off but you're forever stained with your crimes, sins, guilt.
It can happen so suddenly too. For them, the way an old man smiles could remind them of a players resting face as the blood pooled below them. The way children suggesting games at the park reminds them of the announcer saying the rules of the next game. The brand of a bottle. A bad nights sleep. The news on the TV. Anything could trigger it for them and suddenly they're in green tracksuits and fighting for their life.

After the two survive the game, Sae-Byeok and Ji-Yeong are left with trauma only the two of them can understand and comfort each other through it the best they can.
