Summary
In the quiet aftermath of war, Hogwarts lies scarred but slowly healing. Severus Snape is pulled from the edge of death by the tears of a phoenix.
Harriet Potter, now a war-hardened eighteen-year-old, takes the stand. Her unwavering voice joins with Snape's memories, student testimonies, and a final, time-delayed letter from Albus Dumbledore, revealing the truth of Snape’s sacrifices and true allegiance.
Haunted by the revelation of Snape’s enduring love for her mother, Harriet finds herself drawn to the man who loved Lily with such aching devotion. A man so wrecked by grief and guilt that he cannot imagine being loved in return.
Can love bloom in the ruins of war? Can Harriet teach Severus that he is worthy of more than Lily’s ghost and guilt? Or will the weight of the past doom them before they ever begin?
