A mistake which should have been caught that was overlooked because a doctor didn’t want to take the time to piece together the symptoms, hearing the accent and prescribing dismissal and an antacid rather than an EKG and monitoring

    Samira Mohan was a planner. She knew exactly where everything in her life would end up. Working restlessly towards the future that she had dreamed of since she lost her father. A career, a house, a husband. Maybe kids. Everything was going to plan until the 4th of July, when everything changed on a dime.

    When Robby introduces her cohort to his nocturnal counterpart, Samira at first thinks she is going crazy. She's met him before. She knows she has. Several times, in fact. She knows he knows he has met her before too.

    "Jack Abbot," he says by way of introduction, sticking out his hand. He has a ring on his finger.

    Jack Abbot has been the ghost of Samira's adult life. He is now her attending.
