Summary
Shuriken, due to the nature of his job, was quite proficient in hiding bruises. Did it involve some makeup that he had to steal from his sister? Yes, it did. But the Silver Shadow, vigilante of Thieves’ Den, couldn’t risk becoming plant fertilizer.
He wasn’t any sort of makeup expert (unless his arm design counted), and he’d had to search up how to hide bruises on incognito mode on his crappy laptop when he’d first become a vigilante. But now he could effectively hide his bruises without a second glance.
The issue? He was out of concealer.
And so, the Silver Shadow, the professional, the master of disguise, was going to a makeup store to find himself some concealer. (Not that boys couldn’t wear makeup. Shuriken is very supportive of everyone and how they choose to express themselves, you know. What kind of vigilante would he be?)

Rocket is right. Sword is a little bit of a wuss.
But it’s for good reason! He doesn’t want to get in trouble with Venomshank, because that just means more time locked up in the house, cleaning up Sisyphus’s feathers, which get everywhere.
Yes, Sword loves the bird. No, he does not like cleaning up feathers.
Now, what does this have to do with Sword not being a complete goody-two-shoes?
For about a week, now, Zuka’s been staying late at the shop, mostly due to an unusual influx of customers. And, also, Venomshank’s been doing whatever godly deities do, so his house is pretty empty.
So, of course, the most reasonable thing to do is to spam Sword’s phone and beg him to let him sneak over and hang out for the night.

Eternal Sugar was messing with her mind. She had to be.
And yet.. the thought of rest seemed so peaceful. To finally be able to put her head down, and not have to rely on berry juice to drown out her worries.
The Beast gently pulled her to the bed. “Come. Rest with me, Hollyberry.”
And despite her instincts screaming at her, telling her not to listen to this creature of Sloth, Hollyberry found herself leaning into Eternal Sugar’s side as she settled onto the bed.
Eternal Sugar placed a hand on her forehead, and she was asleep.
“You’re mine now, little cookie.”

Regulus let out a lengthy sigh, booting up his computer and finding that his document was still open, with only a paragraph written so far. The bar on the screen blinked at him, waiting to be filled with words about the Shakespearean period.
“Shakespeare! I know plenty about this guy. What sort of vampire would I be if I didn’t know Shakespeare?” James said, suddenly appearing over his shoulder. “Went to a pub once with him. The guy was such a lightweight - only had, like, two drinks before he got completely wasted.”
Regulus groaned. “I don’t see how this is relevant to what I’m writing about, James.”
“Right. Because since Shakespeare wrote a couple plays makes him so interesting.”
The black-haired student fixed the vampire with a dead glare. James held up his hands in surrender. “Okay, maybe that is exactly what made him interesting. But still! Isn’t it nice to have a couple of fun facts thrown in there?”

Silver rolled his eyes, not bothering to utter a response. Neither of them believed in something as silly as ghosts, ghost types? Sure. That was probably what had caused the previous owners to be convinced the house was haunted.
Ghost types were easily defeated, especially when faced with an elite gym leader such as his father.
He knew what the man was doing, or at least trying to do. They were moving.
