Summary
Kathryn Wake, youngest daughter of Alan and Alice Wake, had a wicked temper. She didn’t let it out that often – even though she had every right to. But sometimes, she couldn’t help it. Sometimes the anger built up until it had to be released. Sometimes she just had to say something. Seeing a young girl being harassed by a grown man was just one of those times.

“MJ,” the other says before Peter can slip away. “My friends call me MJ.”
And Peter—he has a preternatural ability to sense danger. He knows when he needs to be on edge, because the hair on the back of his neck will raise, and he’ll get a weird tingling inside his brain that screams DANGER! at him as surely as the crack of a gunshot or the wail of a siren.
None of that happens when Michael tells him his nickname, but Peter still knows without a fraction of a doubt that he is irrevocably fucked.
