Summary
“Need word,” Rocky says in baby-talk Eridian for me. The translator dutifully repeats “need word” in English a second later.
After fifteen minutes of bewildering back and forth between the three of us, we determine the word he needs is “declension.”
A year into the journey to Erid, Grace faces down his most formidable academic gauntlet since astrophage: the five-part polyphonic Eridian language. It’s only fair after Rocky mastered English, human mannerisms, Grace mannerisms- without so much as one complaint. And if learning Eridian might temper some of Grace’s desperate, near-complete dependence on Rocky in the future… well. That’s his own business.
Eridian breaks Grace’s brain, heart, and soul- and puts it back together.

Summary
"Grandpa," she starts, "the Asshole Rick—" she ignores Jerry's scandalised look—"he said Morty was his, uh, his grandson? I mean, isn't that obvious? I don't know why he really emphasised that."
"Oh, yeah." They're so close to the rift; from the edges of her vision, Summer can see the innards of the multiverse, the terrible—beautiful—clashes of colours as it warps around a nonexistent nexus. "Should've p-probably brought it up earlier, Sum-Sum, but—Morty's his actual grandson. Like, in the fucking flesh and blood."

Summary
He knows it’s fake. Morty would go so far as to say pretty much everyone else is a part of that fabrication, considering all of them are acting a little too much like he expects them to. There’s something wrong with him too however— like he’s out of place. Trying to jam a puzzle piece into a slot that doesn’t fit.
Morty might have memories of being a part of their family but it doesn’t mean they’re true. Maybe that’s why he feels so wrong all the time. None of this is his.
He needs a way out. Morty has no proof of it but every second he spends here feels like another second he spends suffocating under its presence. His headaches only ever happened when Morty began to question things more.
Someone or something doesn’t want him leaving, but Morty refuses to be eaten alive.
(Ending up in and getting out of a simulated reality was hard enough. The side effects it caused and the old wounds it opened up in the process however, are a whole other bag of worms that might not be so easily dealt with. Not alone, at least.)
