Oh boy, Jon thinks. He wonders what sort he’ll get tonight - drunk and funny, or drunk and belligerent? He hopes it’s not someone here to rob them.
Out in the front, two girls stand at the counter. Drunk - check. Funny or belligerent - too soon to tell. But at least he’s pretty sure they aren’t here to rob the place.
“Hello Mister Manager,” the one girl, a redhead, says with a serene smile. If it weren’t for the flush to her cheeks and the way she’s choosing her words a little too carefully, he might almost think she weren’t drunk.
