Makoto bites his lip. “But since I’m feeling generous today, I’ll answer… I’m simply wondering if this is something that you go through every time you’re getting a gift for a friend.” Well, it’s a pretty good question, at any rate. “Not that I have much use for the information, of course, considering that I would never stoop so low as to get a gift for a simpleton such as yourself or any of our classmates, but still, I have to wonder nonetheless.” Okay.
