When the flash of light cleared, there was… something, laying near limp on the floor of the cave. Dark fur with a grey tuft that ran down its back and sort of became what looked like a tail. It almost looked like a dog, but it had… eyebrows? It was weird.
But more than that, it looked like that if it wasn't dead already, it was terrifyingly close.

What they needed to do was hide. And they had to hide quickly, because he could hear the sound of so many footsteps honing in on them, fast.
Knight seemed to hear the same thing, and was probably just about to protest his decision to release himself from Knight’s grip, when Black Sapphire spotted a storage closet just a bit further down the hall.
It’d have to do.
