Summary
Sieun’s knees nearly buckle when he sees him. The world zeros in to just the two of them, Sieun staring with wide eyes and unshed tears, and Suho sitting upright just two meters away. Sieun steps closer, trying to see Suho through the mask. His eyes are lidded, mind probably hazy from waking up, and the reality of it hits Sieun with full force again. Suho is awake.
Suho’s eyes open wider, just slightly. When they meet Sieun’s, Suho’s mask begins to fog up. Sieun’s ears are attuned to that single sound, over the incessant beeping of the heartbeat monitor—all he can hear is the sound of Suho’s single, stuttered breath.or, what if suho doesn't remember sieun when he wakes up?

With a careful hand, she slowly winds up the music box. But instead of familiar tune, what comes out were a few discordant notes and an awful twang with a few clicking noises.
A harried looking Kanade bursts into the living room, eyes wide and frantic with one arm through a dark jacket and the other half of it trailing behind her before she sees Mafuyu and the music box.
Mafuyu immediately sets the box aside and takes a step back as if that would minimize the damage. “Sorry, I just wanted to hear it. I didn’t know it was…” broken. That explained a lot.
Kanade lets out a small exhale, relief written all over her face.
