Shadow took a moment to formulate his response, purposely avoiding Sonic’s eyes to stare at the bubbles in the boiling water, “Well,” he commended, “maybe it wasn't a very funny joke, then.”Romance is neither Sonic or Shadow's strong suit and they decide maybe they're not all mature enough to maintain a relationship. Summary
After the destruction of the Eclipse Canon, Sonic is left grieving the loss of a new ally. One night, he wishes on a shooting star that this ally is at peace. Or better yet, somehow, miraculously, he survived the explosion.
What Sonic didn't expect was that shooting star to quickly come crashing down to Earth.
Sonic kicks open the door to the Wachowski family home, cradling something in his arms. It's Shadow. Covered in burns and filth. But most importantly, clinging to life by a thread.
