    Summary

“So, we’re going on an adventure that will most likely claim our lives,” Wooyoung spoke up, giving his captain a rather cocky expression. “Is the treasure even worth it?”

At that, Hongjoong’s face instantly mirrored the young spy’s own look. The smirk that took over his face was intimidating and reminded Seonghwa that Hongjoong was indeed wild, his eyes sparkling with a dangerous fury. He leaned over the desk and slammed his palm into the map that lay there, the sound echoing through the candle-lit cabin, and licked over his bottom lip with a firm nod of his head.

    “Aye, it’s eternal life.”

Or: After being promised the adventure of a lifetime, Seonghwa had found himself wondering if this grand adventure was for him after all. With a combination of heart-wrenching guilt and the feeling that the crew doesn’t like him, Seonghwa does his best to forget who he was and tries to fit in with this rogue pirate crew who are chasing after a treasure no pirate has ever dared to retrieve before. With a firm promise that this adventure could claim their lives, the outcast pirate crew who roams the vast seas under black sails finds that their loyalty will both hold them together and split them far apart.

    Summary

“What does it take to break someone?”
To break someone, you must crush their hope under the bite of your heel cruelly and mercilessly until they are too scared to hope anymore. A person too scared to hope will not run or fight, they will fall down and shatter, ready to be built back up in whichever way you wish.

Ranpo is not someone easily broken. It is his strength that holds up the insurmountable might of the Armed Detective Agency, after all. But any amount of pressure dealt to a building is felt the most by its supporting pillars.

Sequel to The Candle Forever Burning
Heavily inspired by Astre_Red’s, “Detective and Hidden Jewel.”

    Summary

Denki Kaminari's parents are notorious crime lords. He's been raised, tortured, and abused by them from the mere age of three, but no one knows him as their son. He is better known as Golden, the best assassin for hire in the history of the black market. Thanks to years of rigorous training and endless bouts of torture, Kaminari was forced to become the most skilled killer villains had to offer. Whether that was good or bad, he didn't know.

At the age of 13, he gathered the courage to give up killing for evil and run away.

At the age of 15, he enrolled in UA high school and found the family he deserved: Class 1-A. The only problem is, they're way too observant for their own good. And with the return of familiar faces from his past and the revival of deadly conspiracies, it doesn't help that Kaminari's perfect, happy life is beginning to crumble around him either.

Or: all of the times Kaminari's classmates accidentally got a hint about his past and the one time they found out.

    Summary

If you are to send a person back in time in order to correct a fucked up timeline, then, what kind of person will you send?

It is only natural to send back someone with a lot of information on the events surrounding why the world went downhill, isn't it? And for the case of Japan's collapse under Villain rule, perhaps someone like Hawks, who was behind the infiltration of the Paranormal Liberation front, who held lots of confidential information and could actually put it into use. Or maybe Endeavor, Japan's number one hero since the retirement of All might.

So then why, when you have all of these fully-capable heroes who actually know what was going on behind the scenes and would actually know what to do, did the role of a time traveler have to fall on Kaminari Denki, UA student who has absolutely no idea about what is even happening to the world?

Maybe this hero thing isn't for him, after all.

Warning: This work contains spoilers for the Paranormal Liberation War and some of its aftermath. Proceed with caution.

As of April 19, 2022, Chapter 12 is in progress.
As of April 15, 2023, this fanfic will be rewritten. See Chapter 12.
