So when Cap looks to Sam for help tracking down his long lost, presumed dead, and very brainwashed best friend who until recently seemed hellbent on killing them all, for some reason, Sam finds it hard to say no.

Marvel cannot stop retconning the details of this guy's backstory so this is my attempt to consolidate it into something that actually kind of maybe makes sense, taking the good stuff and leaving out the not so good stuff. Super focused on Kurt's adoptive circus family since I've always loved the concept and in canon it's either ignored or handled really badly and I've taken it upon myself to fix it up.Tags will be updated as new chapters are posted!

A retelling of the death and life of Marc Spector.

Moon Knight backstory + early superheroing days that combine show and comics!Or, in more words, essentially the parts I like from the comics and the parts I like from the Disney Plus show pieced together to the best of my ability to make my own personal ideal version of the character. (Backstory from the show, but characterizations more like the comics.) Also I find him super interesting and he's a good excuse to go ham on some symbolism and non-linear plot structure. Heavily inspired by the Lemire run! Enjoy.
