“It’ll be my absolute pleasure.”
With a slow, deliberate pull, his signet slid off his finger.
He plucked a piece of her delectable confection, plunged it into the milk, and lifted the soaked treat towards her lips.
“But I think the chef should have the first taste.”
The cloudy liquid dripped down his fingers.
“If you’re sure,” she rasped.
Alternatively, Taggie gets her own cooking show at Venturer and Rupert learns what it means to be a literal sugar daddy.

Summary
When Rupert ends up in hospital, there are two options. Either Taggie does as Taggie wants, and helps him recover at Penscombe, or Rupert comes to the Priory, where Declan can keep an eye on them both. Neither option is ideal, but if having Taggie home over Christmas means having Rupert too, then so be it.
If God exists, he is laughing at Declan.

Summary
“Edward-”
“No. Don’t. You don’t get to tell me how to feel about this. Ever. It’s mine. Mine to carry. Not yours. And I will deal with it however I see fit.”
Susie took a deep breath before answering. Across her sun-kissed knees, her enlaced fingers were white. “I understand that,” she said, at last. “And right now, for you, that means keeping me here?”
It sounded so bloody stupid when she said it out loud. Like this was just a fucking coping mechanism, or something. A trauma response, and nothing more. And she was merely some sort of…lucky charm, for him. A source of stability. An anchor. A touchstone. Edward thought, dizzily, of the London Stone and how it had hummed under his fingers as a train passed beneath the street.
“Yes,” Eddie said. “That’s what it means.”

Summary
Eddie gestured at the key card. "There's one room left."
JP inhaled very slowly through his nose. His eyes moved between Eddie and Susie and back to Eddie with the careful, deliberate energy of a man exercising the most profound self-restraint of his entire life, and losing.
The wink he produced was slow, enormous, and completely without shame. "Don't go doing anythin' I wouldn't."
