Ashur choked on air. “Wh— What?”
“You heard me,” Lorelei said, smiling like the cat who got the canary. “That sort of release is supposed to help with cramps. Before, during, whatever. It helps.”
Ashur blinked, opening and closing his mouth rapidly. No sound came out.
Lorelei only smirked. “Trust me. Speaking from experience, love.”
“During?”
That was— that was an option?
“Oh, don’t look so bloody scandalized, Ser Viper,” Lorelei said with a laugh.
Or: To his complete and utter annoyance, Tarquin is dealing with his period for the first time in months, and Ashur has no clue how to help. Lorelei offers some ideas that drive Ashur a little bit insane, perhaps.

The first time Tarquin met the Viper, he got this niggling feeling at the back of his mind. Something almost clicking into place, like he should recognize this man. Recognize his blue eyes. The gentleness in his gaze.
He just seemed so fucking familiar. Tarquin just couldn’t quite put a finger on where he recognized him from.
OR: Tarquin and Ashur were friends as children, forced apart by circumstances beyond their control. Years later, they meet again. At first, neither of them recognizes the other.

Tarquin’s hand slipped away from his eyes completely, his head turning to follow Ashur's shift in tone more than his movements.
“—the first was dancing with you,” Ashur said with a smile, obviously still very pleased about that.
A beat of silence followed, and Tarquin willingly took the bait. “And the second?” he asked.
The smile his partner wore was a strange one, with something hiding underneath in it. Something that Tarquin might have called bashful.
Or: Ashur shows Tarquin the meaning of the word devotion in a quiet moment alone after the masquerade.

The first official action Dorian takes as Archon, after weeks of careful planning and the quiet removal of as many Venatori-aligned Magisters as the Shadow Dragons were able to blackmail or corner alone in a dark alley, is to declare slavery illegal in the Tevinter Empire.
The second action he takes, before the yelling has even died down and while his bodyguards are still pinning the latest noble scion to try and kill him to the marble floor, is to legalize marriages between partners of the same gender.
