Summary
In the bitter winter of 1591, Jinu is a failure. He is a bipa-player who cannot afford strings and a man who cannot feed his family. When someone in the marketplace offers him a voice that could enchant a King, Jinu doesn't ask the price.
But the road from the mountains of Jeongseon to the Capital is long, and Jinu discovers the voice is more a curse than a gift. In 2025, the National Museum of Korea displays Accession No: Sinsu 27200-23, a worn bipa that stands as a lone witness to a court in exile. While the world sees a relic, Rumi sees the truth. Latent within the wood is Jinu's humanity, and Rumi is the only one who can finally call him home.
