"Well, that was years ago. My great-great... Great grandfather, Zaphod Beeblebrox the Sixth.""Right you are, son. And the Beeblebrox family has been involved in politics ever since. Not quite at the level of Galactic President, but still influential in some way or another," he sat down at the desk, and looked his son dead in the eyes, "It's time you knew why. And you begin your work to carry on the tradition.

"Bart Allen really could do anything.
If there was anyone, anything, that could find a way to cheat death, and come back, it would be Bart Allen. Because he had done it so many times before, Preston resolved hopefully.
"Bart Allen, he's our man, if he can't do it, no one can," he mumbled to himself softly, his vision getting lost in the paused memory of shimmering pixels. "You hated that so much, asshole."
The silence of the room choked him and Preston hit play on his tape again and got lost in the memory from over two years ago.
"Asshole. Come back. You always came back.""
When Bart Allen died his identity was revealed to the whole world, and in response the town of Manchester decided to host a memorial of its own for the hero that made it his home. Preston Lindsay being well known as Impulse's friend is invited to deliver his eulogy.

Summary
Without Thad there to dissuade him over the summer, Bart had started pretending there wasn’t a ladder down from his top bunk. He’d just leap straight off the side and land wherever gravity decided to take him.
Twice, it’s ended with Bart in the middle of Thad’s ritual circle. His pajama pants are charred near the hem from yesterday, when he landed too close to the candles.
This time he’s just mindlessly smudging Thad’s runes and doesn’t even have the good sense to get set on fire about it.
“Do you mind.” Thad says. Loudly. “I was using that.”
_Chaos magic is the hardest to learn, but the easiest to master. Anything can be achieved, as long as the magician believes — truly, unflinchingly — that it can be done.
Thad has been trying to learn chaos magic his entire life.
Bart has been a master since he was four.
