Summary
He prepared himself, just as he had seen Richard do so many times before executing a flip, and let his foot trip. The hardest part of faking a fall down the stairs was resisting the instinct to grab onto something to break the fall.
It didn't hurt as much as one might expect. Damian had been taught how to fall and small tricks like this since he learned to walk. He knew how to cover himself to only hit parts of the body that wouldn't require more than two days of rest, and he knew the sharp gasp of surprise he had to let out after the initial trip. He was sure that from the outside, it must have looked far more dramatic.
“Damian!” His father’s voice echoed throughout the entire Cave. His footsteps reached his side in seconds, and Damian felt a trembling hand on his face. “Look at me. Damian, look at me.”

Except he doesn't get better.
Days turn into weeks, and the pain only becomes worse. What everyone thought would be a temporary injury begins affecting every part of Damian's life. Training becomes impossible. Sleep becomes difficult. Even moving around the Manor can become a struggle.
And Damian still refuses to tell anyone just how bad it is.

Summary
The feeling is slow. It creeps in at a snail's pace, like a faucet left to drip in a bathtub. Filling to the brim, and spilling over. There is no explosion of water. No burst. Just the slow spillage of clear liquid onto the tile below. Pooling onto the ground, the puddle growing and growing. Seeping into the sub-floor, forever warping the wood there.
Muddying it.
Dirtying it.
Tainting it
And no one notices the little boy in the tub until it’s too late.

Summary
Damian Wayne is twenty-eight, a trauma surgeon, a vigilante, and, against all odds, enjoying his life.
Then Tim builds a time machine.
Damian, naturally, sedates his severely sleep-deprived brother and steals his mission.
(Or: The downside of inventing time travel is that your evil little brother has a medical license, zero respect for intellectual property, and immediate FREE access to everyone’s childhood, plus witnessing the unsettling version of a young Bruce.)

Summary
Damian started with the frog, sketching it’s body on the lily pad, and roughly outlining the pond around it. His pencil making its own melody of scritch scritches against the thick paper.
“Cain once made me read her a story about a frog like you.” Damian told the creature, attention drifting up to it, “Would you find a little golden ball for me if I lost it?”Bookmarked by kittybeard34
