Summary
When Bruce stumbles upon each of the sick Batkids, it brings up old memories and allows Bruce to strengthen his connection with his kids (Plus Stephanie). Bruce is forced to navigate difficult emotions and grow as a parent. Through these small, domestic moments, old traditions are passed down and new ones are created.

Summary
It was a skill Bruce had picked up when starting out as Batman. Back then he didn't have the support of someone else telling him where heat signatures of trapped civilians or where some low level goons making a deal were located. And he had read articles on people learning how to do it, so it seemed easy enough.
It did take him a hot minute to perfect it, but eventually Bruce had mastered the art of echolocation to the point where it was second nature, and he told no one.

“I wanted to talk to you,” Duke said.
“You could’ve just texted me,” Steph pointed out.
“That was too much,” Duke said. “This is supposed to be chill. Casual. Fancy running into you on patrol vibes.”
“Good job,” Stephanie quirked her eyebrow. “Now I’m nervous. What’s this about? Did I do something? Is it Tim-”
“No, just calm down!” Duke hit her arm lightly. “I’m having feelings about B and this whole…adoption thing.”

Duke struggles with the thought of Bruce being his dad. He turns to the only people who might understand - the Batfam. They're less than helpful... but maybe there's something there after all.
