    Listen. Karl wasn’t suicidal. He wasn’t.

    It was just – he’d been so sure that this was a Tale. This Quackity was… different. He had cold eyes and an even colder smile, and was the complete opposite of the warm and laughing fiancé Karl knew. Where his Quackity would’ve greeted him with a hug, this Quackity offered nothing but aloof detachment. Hell, Karl had never even heard of Las Nevadas.

    Even so, he hadn’t been able to stand the thought of someone who looked so similar to his Quackity eventually killing him. So, he’d decided to speed up the process a little, and the second ‘Quackity’ turned his back, he tried to throw himself off the top of the Needle.

    (He was just going home – to his fiancés.)

    He hadn’t expected to be dragged back over the railing and far away from the edge with an endless litany of curses. And it was his Quackity, wide-eyed and terrified, hands desperately clutching at his jumper. “Karl, what the fuck?!”

    “Oh,” Karl breathed. A quiet realisation. “Hey Big Q.”

    A scarred hand slowly turned the page, puzzled as to what the familiar handwriting meant. The two had never really spoken to Connor before yet the onesie clad man had suddenly shown up and handed a book over, explaining that it would tell them what they needed to know before he left without another sound.

    Or; Connor gives a book to Sapnap and Quackity, penned by one Karl Jacobs.

    Or; Apollo wants to test reactions to some of her headcanons and wrote a book with a lot of italics to punish herself.
     

    Note: This story contains themes of self-harm (scratching, biting and hair tugging, though Karl's not aware of it and panic attacks), derealisation, manipulation (thanks Exdee and HD you asses) mentions of blood and mentions of death.     Dream is pleased with the progress he's made with Tommy, but he worries. He worries that his friends might pull him back, worries that Tommy will stop believing him. Luckily Dream has a plan. After the disastrous beach party he lures Tommy somewhere new, a cabin in the middle of a snowy biome where he couldn't leave and no one could find him.

    As Tommy becomes more and more isolated with Dream convincing him his own memories can't be trusted and he's a danger to himself and his friends the L'Manburg citizens race to find their missing friend and take him from the clutches of Dream's manipulation and bring him home.
