Bryan nearly gives Leon a heart attack when he lifts his shirt and shows a haphazardly stuffed handgun that's sticking out of the waistband of his jeans.
“Don't put that there,” Leon says hurriedly, willing his heart to calm down. He keeps imagining the horror of it going off and blowing clean through Bryan's femur. “And - hey, wait. That's a standard glock that's issued to all American officers. Did you steal that?”
Bryan at least has the decency to blush in embarrassment as he hastily shoves the hem of his shirt back down.

Bryan Hodukavich was supposed to make one last delivery.
Pick up the package. Drive to Raccoon City. Hand it to a Dr. William Birkin. Get paid enough to cover part of the rent. Go home.
Simple.
Instead, the dead start walking, Raccoon City falls apart around him, and Bryan finds himself trapped with Claire Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy — a rookie cop who is brave, painfully serious, ridiculously attractive, and increasingly convinced that keeping Bryan alive is somehow his personal responsibility.
Bryan doesn't know how to shoot.
He does know how to drive, talk his way through trouble, find the back entrance to half the businesses in Raccoon City, and survive situations that really should have killed him.
Maybe he isn't as unlucky as he thinks.

At twenty-seven, Bryan Hodukavich had a safe, ordinary job and no reason to leave it. Then came Raccoon City. He survived that night on luck alone, so when a secret government agency built to stop the next disaster came calling, he said yes.
At fifty, Bryan thinks he has seen it all. 23 years of close calls have convinced him there is no mission he can’t walk away from.
He is wrong. He is betrayed and doesn’t walk away.
He dies.
He wakes up twenty-seven again, at a counter where a dispatcher offers him one last delivery job. He knows the package, the road, and exactly how the night ends.

Leon was never part of the night Bryan remembers.
Bryan tells him the truth about what he is carrying, and Leon signs on. An extra pair of hands, Bryan tells himself, nothing more.

September 30, 1998.
As Bryan finds himself trapped further in the nightmare of Raccoon City, his delivery quickly becomes a fight for survival. Carrying a package containing the key component needed to complete a cure, Bryan is scared shitless yet determined to reach the hospital, but it's anything but easy.
Crossing paths with Leon S. Kennedy, a rookie police officer late for his first day on the force, he finds himself equally trying to survive a city that wants to eat him alive. Suspicious of each other at first, Bryan and Leon reluctantly join forces when they realize their goals overlap: get the package to the hospital, find Claire, and get answers while still trying to make it out alive.
As the virus progresses across the city, their dangerous journey slowly turns into something neither of them expected.
But with Claire still missing, the truth of Umbrella slowly emerging, and the cure still miles from the hospital, Bryan and Leon have to decide how much they're willing to risk for each other. But surviving Raccoon City together could cost them everything, including the chance to admit what they've begun to feel.
