    Summary

Disoriented, he couldn’t breathe. A thick substance surrounded him, rifling its way into his lungs. Spider swam to the surface, his hand breaking through first. He jerkily rose, his movement barely coordinated. Eyes snapped open to reveal the glow of an unnatural green, a hiss passing his lips.

“Peter.” A voice said. A voice Spider didn’t recognise.

Or another Peter in Gotham story but it starts a little differently.

    Summary

“I am the Batman!” Damian announces. “I am the night, I am the last hope this decrepit city has!”

“You are not the Batman,” Natasha says, pushing a banana towards him. “You are Damian al Ghul, and you are late to breakfast."

Even in the afterlife, Natasha wants to do good. She might as well start with Damian al Ghul.

    Summary

To save the world from utter destruction, a person's memory was required. Not their memories, but everyone else's memories of them. They would be fundamentally erased from existence. Like they were never even there at all.

The moment Superman told them that, his face sunken and his eyes hollow, Damian knew it had to be him.

    Or:

Damian Wayne is forgotten by the entire world. "Starting over" is more painful then he imagined.
