When Prince Aerion Targaryen wakes aboard a viking warship, halfway across the seas, he finds himself a captive to a towering warrior who knows nothing of courtly manners and respect.
For Dunk, the return to Storm’s End should have marked the end of a successful raid. Instead of silver, he is saddled with a new thrall. The sharp-tongued, stubborn silver-haired prince proves to be far more trouble than he’s worth. Though Raymun keeps telling him to ‘think of the ransom’.
On a night of the week long celebration feast, far from anything familiar, Aerion finds himself cornered by dangers he cannot fight alone. Pride would have him stand unyielding for a prince never bows. But in this foreign land, he is forced to rely on the one man who now owns him.

Baelor is more or less accustomed to cryptic letters from Brynden showing up borne on ravens—if the situation is dire enough, his uncle appearing from the shadows isn’t out of the question either—but the latest one waiting for him at Ashford feels almost deliberately vague.
Remember that besides Trail by Combat and Trial of Seven, all can be resolved if the accuser simply changes the punishment. Instead of demanding a hand or foot, make Aerion see the prestige of having a personal guard worth four men or more. Even dragons had their honor guard after all.
Maybe the knight can teach both of them and change all our fates.
Or Bloodraven sends a letter that changes the fate of the kingdom, and specifically Aerion and Dunk.

"You cost us both the race," Aerion said, cool and controlled, though his pulse jumped when Dunk took another step closer.
"You rammed me off the track," Dunk countered, his accent thickening with anger. He was close enough now that Aerion could see the flecks of gold in his blue eyes, the way his jaw flexed when he ground his teeth. "Again."
Aerion smirked, leaning back on his palms. "And yet here you are. Not with the stewards. Not with your team." He tilted his head. "What do you want, Pennytree? An apology?"
Dunk's hand shot out, fingers wrapping around Aerion's wrist with enough force to bruise. The contact seared.
Too hot, too close. Aerion could feel the calluses on Dunk’s palm, the way his pulse hammered against his own skin.
Or: Duncan takes Aerion telling him to suck his dick to heart....
