Summary
Oscar’s well aware that he’s got that tight clench in his chest again. That selfish, greedy clench that he knows is a bad, bad idea. A way to get his feelings hurt all over because Lando’s going to leave him like he always does, and Oscar will have to act normal in the next interview as if he didn’t just see Lando like this, as if Lando hasn’t fucked him up irreparably for anyone else.
And God knows what the future holds for Oscar, but nothing’s ever going to compare to Lando. Nothing. No one will ever come close.
He knows this with absolute certainty.

Summary
Lando’s got a good job, a great wardrobe, and a shared office space with the most soul-sucking man alive. He’s not intimidated by Oscar Piastri — who has the emotional range of a filing cabinet and the charisma of a stapler, if the stapler could ruin your career with one look. He’s not.
But now that the CEO is retiring, Lando has to charm an entire C-suite to vote for him instead of Oscar to become the new head of the company.
Lando has allies. Oscar has secrets. There’s coffee-stained tension, shared glances that mean nothing (obviously), and a game of corporate chess that feels a little too personal.
It’s fine. Everything is fine. Unless Oscar is already ten steps ahead. Which he probably is. Bastard.

Summary
Thirty seconds. The video is thirty seconds, and it takes two words, right at the end. Two words that are soft, gentle—you’d have to strain to hear them, but Lando doesn’t need to. He can’t hear anything else. They rattle around in his head, vision blurred, mouth dry.
His hands shake, but then again, they always do.
“Fuck—Lando."

Summary
Every point he’d gotten since Baku felt like something stolen. Like he’d been the one crashing Oscar’s car into walls, the one telling him to risk it all on every turn, or the one making him miserable after every race.
But—Brazil had been perfect. Right?
Oscar had crashed into a wall. Oscar had rammed into another car. Oscar had gotten a ten seconds penalty. And Lando had extended the lead by fifteen points.
Lando couldn’t be happier.

Summary
The downside of Oscar's job is that he's always in danger. And the pros? None. Well, unless one counts having a massive crush on his employer, who has the sex drive of a rabbit and is practically always half-naked. But the fact that his employer is literally part of the mafia is definitely off-putting.
Oh, and he's married.
