That is, until her partner points out that sticking it to the patriarchy via a Scottish handfasting loophole is just good financial sense. Strictly for the funding of unauthorized scientific research, obviously.

Summary
I’ve always felt like most of us really only liked Arcadia because Mulder and Scully got to play ‘house’, but I think there’s a great story in there. So here’s my take. Think of it as a canon-adjacent retelling. I’ve pulled in a little from an early version of the script, but I wanted to dig into the idea of the HOA being a cult and give Mulder and Scully something to really investigate. There are a few bits that you'll recognise but this is mostly my own story.
It’s a bit of a case fic but with lots of domestic MSR moments because I was a shipper long before I was a storyteller.
This fic was meant to take 2 weeks and be about 10K words. It ended up just shy of 60K and took almost two months. I loved writing it and I'd love to know what you think of it so leave me a comment - I love the chat! 💕

Summary
When Spiderman is lured into a biotechnology institution by a fake police radio emergency, he walks right into the trap of a group of mercenaries. Claiming that they work for a company called Alpha, the mercenaries try to capture him. In an attempt to save himself, Spiderman gets injured badly and calls on Eddie and his Other for help.
