    It’s on a nice day that Metal Sonic is sent on a scouting mission, the same day that Amy Rose goes birdwatching in the forest to relax... With orders of staying undetected without protocol for if he encountered a freedom fighter, perhaps this is the opportunity for Metal to assuage his curiosity for the pink hedgehog.
    And maybe then, someday, he’d be able to make sense of the birds’ songs, as well as the melodies plaguing his own program. Melodies he was never made to make or learn.
