“You need to do one thing for me, Lena,” Her heart breaks for the woman drowning in pain, looking at her with so many questions in her eyes, asking if she’s being made a fool. “Take off my glasses.”
“What?”
The glasses slip from Kara’s face and Lena almost drops them onto the floor. She thought she was prepared, throughout the fifteen seconds of realisation, but it hits her like a train wreck. All the composure dissolved from her frame, and she closes her eyes, hoping that when she opens them, it’s all going to be a bad dream. But her eyelashes flutter open, and Supergirl is sitting across from her, wearing Kara’s clothes.
