The breeze that sighed through the colos was brisk, carrying the slightest hint of chill from the north where summer hadn’t quite reached. Vaguely, in the back of his mind, a voice told him that he should draw his (Alec’s?) coat around him before he was chilled to the bone, but he barely registered it. He didn’t seem to register much, these days.

Summary
Olruggio lets his touch wander to Qifrey's jaw. His thumb presses to the corner of his mouth, then to the softness of his lower lip. Qifrey's gaze never leaves him, as if he is afraid to fall into whatever has overcome them.
"Don't ask anything of me," Qifrey says, lips brushing over Olruggio's thumb. "Take. Simply take." He kisses the soft space between finger and palm. "Please."
"I…" Olruggio lets his eyes drop to the softness of Qifrey's lips, then back up, to carefully take in his features. Candlelight bathes him in gold; Qifrey's magic has never been warm. His work is smart and fluid as water, and just as hardy, while Olruggio is the man of heat and the Torch.
But in this moment, Qifrey is bright.
- When Olruggio works himself to hunger just after midnight, Qifrey accidentally startles him, leading to a terrible burn. With some tender love and care, it seems the time is right for them both to lay their hearts bare to one another...

Hosea smiles wryly. “You’ve got a good head on your shoulders, Mister Smith,” he says. “You know, I wish you would have joined us sooner. Could have used a reliable man like you years ago.”
Charles snorts, a rare, crooked smile crossing his face. “Nah. Don’t think you all would have liked me much back then. I sure didn’t.”
Hosea chuckles. “Well, I like you well enough now. Arthur too.”
Charles says nothing to that, but the corner of his mouth twitches upward again. “I’ll find him,” he promises.
“I know, dear boy. I know.”
A Blessed are the Peacemakers fix-it where Charles is sent to retrieve a missing Arthur Morgan and sees a bit too much of the man in the process. Hosea is furious, Dutch's world is crumbling, and Arthur is stuck in the middle. Luckily, Charles is there too.
