Summary
It’s Minerva’s words—Minerva’s last words—that keep her company in the meantime.
Kiiwen.
When Minerva first explained the term, Rose had scoffed and turned away. It was the first time she’d rejected one of Minerva’s nuggets of their history, gifts she usually coveted and gulped up eagerly. This new concept, though, she couldn’t bring herself to embrace in the same way.
Easier said than done, the words slid bitterly off her tongue.
Rose has been looking for home since her uncle told her to follow the moon and then died before her eyes.

Summary
“I guess I’m just kind of confused." Moon isn't some saint with unlimited patience, but Demetri's never seen her get as defensive as she has over Yasmine. He treads slowly. "I thought you were over bullies. Yasmine’s not even sorry for what she did.” Sorry that she didn’t end up on top, maybe. Sorry that the food chain she built was just as happy to swallow her up. “Why is it different now?”
Moon's answer is simple and sure, like dropping a rock on an anthill. “She’s my Hawk."

Summary
Sensing his attention on them, Allison cranes over her right shoulder and is quickly caught by the paper in his hands. Her lips quirk playfully.
“So,” she drawls out, “how did I do?”
Wiping his face blank, Chris keeps his voice level and unimpressed as he says, “A C+ in Art. Really, Al?”
It’s a joke, because Allison knows the last thing Chris cares about is her ability to paint a banana or whatever the Beacon Hills High curriculum calls for these days. She'll hit back with a blithe comment about the teacher not understanding her budding Michaelangelic vision and then he’ll crack, and it'll be one of those good moments Chris can keep for the longer nights. But some hunter Chris is, for not considering all the variables in his environment.

Summary
The way it starts is simple; Robby has a crush. He has a very normal, teenager-y crush on a boy who would never know of his existence, let alone his name.
He doesn't even learn the other boy’s name until he's reading it off the tournament bracket, trying to remember why the asshole in blue looks so familiar.
The way it starts is simple. The way it ends up is anything but.

Summary
"Hi." He manages a small smile, and the sheer difference between it and the smile he had before everything that happened is so jarring, "I...didn't think you were gonna visit."
Casey frowns, "Chester, I told you I was going to visit. Why wouldn't I?"
"Sorry. I..." He winces a little, then continues, "thought you were just being nice, when you said that."[Casey visits Chester in prison.]

Having returned to Richmond, Jamie is slowly but surely mending bridges and finding his place on the team again. However, as Christmas draws near he struggles with how to reconnect with his mother after distancing himself from her over the past year.
When seemingly sent a sign how to make things right, Jamie is determined to grab the opportunity with both (albeit slightly clumsy) hands—even if it does involve fomer rival turned retiree Roy Kent.
A Jamie-centric pre-OT3 Christmas story told in 25 short chapters.

Summary
Ted stands up, grinning. “Welcome back, Ms. Barrymore! Now, I’ve explained the situation to the team; everyone’s been told to give you your space and not to talk to you too much. So. . .not that different from normal, really. We’ve got Bournemouth Saturday, so we’ll be getting ready for that today. Figured you could hang back a little, get used to the new strategy we’re running. Well, new to you, anyway. If you need anything or need to take a break, just holler.” He looks down at Beard. “I miss anything?”
Beard just looks at him placidly and says “don’t Google yourself.”
Or: Roy wakes up three years in the future. His life isn't half bad, with one very noticable exception.

Summary
They’ve wrestled over many things during the course of their friendship—remotes, the last biscuit, car keys when Colin was way too drunk to drive but refused to admit it—and Isaac has never once lost. The idea of Colin getting the phone back is laughable.
Then Isaac looks down at the screen and everything in him freezes.
He’d expected photos. He gets photos.
OR: Isaac McAdoo learns that his best mate is gay in the worst way possible. Then he wakes up and does it again. Over and over.
