Summary

Sitting on the banks of the Yokohama river, he decides to plunge into the icy waters to rid himself of weeks of grime, hoping for a more serene and certain tomorrow.Dazai Osamu is the youngest executive the Port Mafia has ever had, having just turned fifteen, when he makes a mistake on the shores of the Yokohama river: his latest execution is witnessed by an unwitting boy resembling a ghost. Initially intent on killing him, he reconsiders when he realizes that the boy, deeply traumatized and conditioned, has the potential to become an excellent weapon in the skillful hands of the Demon of the Port Mafia.
Atsushi is naive, ready to bow obediently before the first figure able to provide him with new certainties in an unknown world, and when Dazai persuades him to follow, he surrenders to his will, to the future awaiting him in the Port Mafia.

“I fucking get it,” Chuuya said, his voice nearly a growl. “You love him. You hate him. You wish you’d never met him and you never want to let him go. His praise is what you lived for, and his scorn made you want to die. Those claws, those teeth, get in deep, and sharp, and hard, and painfully. But you would sacrifice anything if it meant getting him back.”
Atsushi still did not make eye contact, blushing. His grip on himself tightened.
“Would you?” he asked ironically.
“Without hesitation,” Chuuya said quickly. “And I know how.”
Chuuya and Atsushi have been serving for years under the Port Mafia Boss Osamu Dazai, Chuuya as his right-hand man, Atsushi as his guard dog and pet. Both were used and abused by the mob boss, twisted into his web of deception and desire, and so they have every reason to celebrate his death . . . only Chuuya finds the way to peer into the other worlds and with it, sees the reason behind Dazai’s actions — as well as the possibility of a happy life with him. Together, he and Atsushi try to change their own world to seek the man they both love and hate to save themselves and him, and to forge a loving future for all of them.

With a loud pop, the light disappeared and Atsushi rushed forth screaming “Dazai-san!”
He didn’t expect to meet one cold amber eye, almost red in the light, and the barrel of a gun pointed at his forehead.
The man, no boy. He couldn’t be older than Atsushi himself stared back at him. The familiar bandages wove around his eye obscuring more of the boy’s body than Atsushi was used to. A grin was placed on his lips, and Atsushi noticed how similar he was dressed to a certain man with an unfortunate haircut. An all-black suit with a clearly oversized jacket hung off the boy's slim frame.
“Well, well, who do we have here? Tora? How cute,” the boy sang.
How will the ADA deal with Dark Era Dazai? Planning this to be a longer fic so get your popcorn ready
