Summary
On April 10, 1912, Nancy Wheeler boards the most famous ship in the world with the son of a wealthy magnate to whom she is betrothed, journeying toward the promise of a loveless marriage on the other side of the Atlantic. By the time tragedy strikes five days later, she is caught in the throes of a torrid affair with Robin Buckley, the courageous third-class passenger who will stop at nothing to save her.

Nancy turned the color of the berries she and Robin had spent the whole morning picking.
“N-No,” she gasped. “No, I was just—I wasn’t—”
“It’s okay, Nance,” said Robin, flashing a toothy grin that bloomed into a soft laugh. “It’s not like I mind.”
Nancy looked at her incredulously. “You…You don’t?”
Robin shook her head. “I’m flattered. Everyone knows you’re the most beautiful woman in Hawkins. It’s kind of nice to pretend that you might want somebody like me as frightfully as we all want you.”

There is a box inside Robin Buckley’s head. She’s not supposed to open it, but she does anyway, because she can’t help herself. It’s full to bursting, of thoughts, and feelings, about the girl she’s in love with.
In the summer of 1987, before the final battle, the girl she’s in love with makes a series of decisions that changes the course of their relationship forever.
AKA, my version of a Ronance storyline strating between seasons 4 and 5 and stretching beyond the epilogue, in which I try to answer my own questions about the show and make my favorite characters love each other and bang a lot.

“I did,” she said quietly, and it hurt her to already be talking about it in the past tense.
“Then how could you do this to her? How could you stand here and pretend like you didn’t murder her?”
Nancy almost laughed. Because wasn't that the question? How do you look at the person you love and still choose the world over them? How do you tell yourself it's necessary? How do you live with it afterward?
“I don't know,” she whispered. “But in all honesty, if I could turn back time, I would probably do it again. Because there simply was nobody else.”
(The Sun is dimming. What awaits Earth is an impending Ice Age and the full extinction of every living being on the planet. With no choice left, Nancy sends the best astrophage scientist on a one-way journey to Tau Ceti, in the hopes she can solve this crisis.)

Tuesday is her least busy day with the line and her biggest course load at school, has been cramming a full weeks worth of classes into one day save for an ethics course on Friday afternoon that totally disrupts what would otherwise be a good paying day.
"Any day except for Tuesday." Robin says, her voice suave and smooth and not at all the nervous, bumbling thing that started the call. "I look forward to it, Princess."
And because Nancy isn't one to be outdone — can sell sex with her voice and two can play at that game, Robin — she lowers her voice to something sultry and sexual.
