Summary
They only ever shoot in the evenings. There is no clear rhythm to what days they work. The mood will strike whenever and more often then not it's unspoken. Jay has that intense look on his face, eyes dark, shoulders squared. It makes him look much more serious than he usually is and Matt will suddenly become aware of the few inches Jay has on him. Matt won't be able to do anything but reach for the camera as soon as they get home.
There is something hypnotic about these sessions. They talk a lot less than they usually do. Matt will stand there, in the living room, camera in his hand, heart in his throat. Jay before him, always with the same sentence on his tongue.
"How do you want me?"

Summary
Matt is caught with a locker full of guns before he’s able to shoot anyone. He’s expelled and his family moves to the other side of the city, where he starts at a new school. He’s been banned from watching movies, creating movies and basically doing anything that would bring him joy.
He’s also not meant to contact Owen, but if he happens to find a boy in the music room that just happens to remind him of Owen, that’s probably okay. That’s probably healthy. There’s no rules against that.

Not only is Matt shifting constantly, be it adjusting the way he’s sitting, or wiggling his foot, or drumming his fingers on the arm of the couch, but he also keeps reaching for popcorn at the exact same time that Jay does, and if Matt knocks his hand out of the way one more fucking time he’s going to kill him.
“Dude,” Jay snaps. “Stop moving.”
“I’m not moving,” he insists, then adds, a little choked, “I’m just—I’m just watching, Bird.”

“You know like, ten people.” Jay says.
“Okay? And there’s a Mariana Trench distance between number nine and you.” Matt drops Jay’s phone onto the concrete and shoves him.
