And they all had their own ways of dealing with the pain. Some swore like sailors, others shed tears and called for their mothers. Each handled it in their own manner.

And even if Porthos could have heard the enemy soldiers, it wasn’t like he knew Spanish for it to be any use. Nevertheless, their daring escape was going to prove tricky under these conditions…
