Summary
The world ended.
Well, that's not technically accurate… humanity's time on earth ended, a lot sooner than to be expected which is where the tragedy of it all lies, if Lena were to guess.
Not that Lena's own time on earth had ended. She was still here, pottering on, miles underground, fiddling with forgotten experiments and watching endless hours of television that she never had time for before…

Summary
“Are we… are we okay?”
“We’re stuck in a nuclear apocalypse, likely a result of my father’s gross negligence, and now used as a playground for an egomaniac’s deranged, power fantasies.”
“Lena.” Her name is a slow sigh. A patient, painstakingly fragile one at that.
Lena closes her eyes, inhaling against the torrent of emotions fighting towards a surface she’s not ready to break.
“Us being stuck here together doesn’t change anything.”
---
Or, Kara and Lena find themselves stranded on a barren Earth where they are forced to work together to survive and finally confront the toxic wasteland their relationship has become.
